Marsha
Mather-Thrift, a veteran nonprofit organization manager and
fundraiser has been named as Executive Director of the Rosie
the Riveter Trust.
Since her first nonprofit job as Program
Director at the GGNRA’s Fort Mason Foundation, she has
served as Director of Development (nationally) and of West
Coast Operations for Friends of the Earth, as Associate Director
for Bluewater Network, and Executive Director of the California
Center for Wildlife (now WildCare).
Over the years, she has
led organizational development and fundraising for local and
regional nonprofits, including Golden Gate Audubon Society,
San Francisco BayKeeper and nonprofit clients, including College
of Marin and Greenpeace. She holds an MA degree from U.C. Davis
and completed PhD studies at Columbia University before deciding
on a nonprofit career.
She has also served on several nonprofit
boards, including Earth Share of California, Bay Area Youth
Theater and Mill Valley Soccer Club.
