RICHMOND -- A little-known aspect of the life of first lady Eleanor Roosevelt will be the topic of a free talk at 11 a.m. Nov. 7 at the Rosie the Riveter Visitor Education Center, 1414 Harbour Way South in Richmond.

San Francisco playwright and actor Terry Baum gathered quite a bit of information while researching a play entitled “HICK: A Love Story — the Romance of Lenora Hickock & Eleanor Roosevelt.”

On Saturday, April 9th, over 200 wonderful people gather for Rosie the Riveter Trust’s 2016 Annual Benefit Dinner event, Discover Rosie Everywhere! We are so grateful to our generous donors and sponsors, who helped us raise over $100,000 to support the programs of the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park!

On Tuesday, October 6th, 2015, Governor Jerry Brown signed into law the Calfornia Fair Pay Act, ensuring equal pay for workers of all genders. The governor selected the Craneway Pavilion at the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park as the site of the signing, paying homage to the strong women who labored on the WWII home front.

California Governor Jerry Brown joined a crowd of about 150 at the Craneway Pavilion to sign into law the California Fair Pay Act on Tuesday. It was apropos that this occurred right next to the Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park.
