American Rosie the Riveter
Association:
Women who are interested in joining a national
"Rosie the Riveter" organization should
contact the American Rosie the Riveter Association
which invites women who worked on the Home Front during
WWII and their families to join their organization.
The Association was formed to honor women's wartime
contributions and is open to women who "took
a man's job or who worked in a defense-related industry
or who did volunteer work on a sustained basis."
The
organization, which currently has over 300 members,
sponsors one national meeting a year in Warm Springs,
GA and encourages the formation of local chapters.

Museum
on Main Street is a
program of the Smithsonian Institution. The hallmark
of this program is that we travel small-format exhibitions
to rural communities with the help of state humanities
councils. One of our exhibitions is entitled, "Produce
for Victory" Posters on the American Home Front
