On Nov. 17, 2004, the City of Richmond and the National Park Service dedicated a new series of eight sculptural markers tracing World War II history along the path of the San Francisco Bay Trail along Richmond’s south shoreline (see Richmond Bay Trail website) where the Kaiser Shipyards were located during WWII.

The event was held at the Lucretia Edwards Park, location of Marker 6 (see map).

The markers are the latest addition to Richmond’s waterfront and the Rosie the Riveter/World War II Home Front National Historical Park.
